Puppies at the Beach

Last weekend, Mr. D had to travel out of town for a wedding.  Knowing myself and how easily freaked out I get, I decided to stay with my parents for the weekend instead of trying to sleep in this big empty house, alone!

On Friday, my little brother Joey and I took Sarge (our family's 9-year old golden lab), Tucker (my sister's 4 year-old black mutt) and Fenway to the Virginia coast on the Chesapeake Bay.

I was interested to see how Fenway would handle the water-- turns out he loved it!

At first, Fenway tried to eat the waves.

And then we finally got him to swim!  He was a little uneasy, but he definitely gave it a couple good tries.

It was a great time, the dogs loved it, and they were totally pooped afterward-- mission accomplished!

Tonight, Mr. D, two of my girlfriends, and I are going to see Jack Johnson in concert after getting some all-you-can-eat blue crabs!  It's going to be a great time!
