Maybe Horoscopes Aren't the Devil

I'm not a huge horoscope person.  Maybe because in Catholic school we were subtly taught that horoscopes and superstitions were kind of the devil.  I used to read my horoscope occasionally, but honestly, it's probably been over a year since I read one.

But my lovely, hilarious, wonderful friend Alice from La Mia Bella Vita posted about a site with more insightful and interesting descriptions of people from each zodiac sign.  And I have to say, reading these slightly-less-general statements kind of makes me believe them more.  For example:

Oh, why thank you.

Scheming.  I never would have said this about myself, but it's a little bit true.
I have schemed.

But... I wouldn't be opposed to a lot of large gifts either.

This is the truth. I don't even mean to do it, but glance at other peoples' phones when they're texting or their receipt at dinner.  I don't even care!  And yet I look!

I am working on this, seriously.  I am trying not to be such a selfish, bitter beeyotch.

Just take a look into my garage and you'll see the proof.

This is so true and probably the #1 biggest difference between Mr. D and I.  I just feel "whatever" about most things.

 OH MY GOSH YES

This is also extremely true.  I also share TMI for the same reason.  I never really think about boundaries when it comes to conversations... and when I do, I overanalyze them and end up awkward.

So I got a little interested in reading some of these things about "moon in my Gemini" and whatnot, so I went to this site for a free astrology birthchart reading.

Read what it says about me based on my time and location of birth.  Some of it's scary true!
I've highlighted the parts that I think are the most accurate in yellow and the parts I think are a load of crap in green.

Gemini Personality Profile:

Gemini is both an air sign and a mutable sign. This duality often leads to internal conflicts and frequent changes in direction. In some cases, Geminis can give the appearance of having two distinct personalities.

Geminis are curious, playful, and intellectual. Like two young siblings playing outside and sharing secrets, Geminis are often amazed and amused by everyday happenings. They are active, adventurous, fun-loving free spirits who stay young at heart forever.

Gemini's open-mindedness can be extreme at times, allowing indecision to lie in the path of their advancement and accomplishment. It's easy for a Gemini to become lost in thought and unaware of others.

The contradictory essence of Geminis is to be both the life of the party, and the wall flower in the corner -- and those roles can switch by the minute. In social settings Geminis are frequently unpredictable although always articulate and nimble.

Gemini at Work:

Despite Gemini's powerful ambition, work isn't their strong point. Ever the student, Geminis are frequently characterized by potential energy rather than actualized accomplishment. They rely on inspiration, and often discover that their friends and followers respect their opinions more than their actual work.

Gemini's tend towards work that is scholarly in nature and gravitate towards research, discovery, or teaching. Creativity also abounds from Gemini's curious nature. It is common to find a Gemini artist, architect, or astronomer.

Pretty interesting stuff, eh?
If you don't think it's the devil, go check it out!
If you do, well, whatever.

What do you think about your zodiac?
Is it true or a load of crap?
