An Open Letter

Dear Victoria's Secret,

As you can see, I received your latest catalog.  Congratulations on your newest "best fitting, most flattering, most comfortable bra ever," the Incredible Bra.

But you are aware, I'm sure, that this makes TWELVE different kinds of bras you sell.
Let's list them:
Incredible
Miraculous
Very Sexy
Dream Angels
Body by Victoria
Biofit
The Sexy T-Shirt Bra
Second Skin Satin
The Naked Bra
Ipex
the Cotton Collection
and Pink.
(Not to mention Glamour by Victoria's Secret or Sexy Little Things, as I'll categorize these as more lingerie than practical bras because they rarely even make them big enough to cover my bubbies, much less provide any support.)

I understand the need to have different cuts (demi, push-up, full coverage, plunge) and different cups (lined, unlined, a variety of colors and fabrics) and different strap options (regular, strapless, convertible).  But every different style bra HAS all those options.

So what makes them so different?  Why are there so many choices?  All I want is something to hold 'em in, and maybe look pretty.  Why have you turned buying a bra into a debacle as difficult as trying to order from the Cheesecake Factory or shop in the Ikea showroom?  Too many choices can be a bad thing, VS.

Please simplify.

Love,
Mrs. D

  2. I used to work there as a sales associate in college...I can tell you that there's really nothing too different about them!! I will say that the sizes seem to vary between the "types"...i.e. we learned that Body bras "have a larger fit"...lol

  3. You are so right! Hilarious. We are getting a VS here finally (I'm in Canada) and I'm so looking forward to being able to try on all the different styles to figure out what works for me instead of having to try and guess online.

  4. Haha, this is hilarious. You're so right -- I just stick to one line and get different styles in that line!

  5. Next week VS will be releasing a new bra... something along the lines of: Fantastic, Super-Duper, Universal, Pretty, or Lace-y.

I get headaches just thinking about the varying VS bras.

  6. Lucky me, the only thing in VS that fits me is their lotion.
