It's Top 2 Tuesday!
Today's topic: Top 2 Splurges!
This one is going to be a little difficult for me. I use an all-cash budget and very rarely spend a lot on ANYTHING. It causes mini-freakouts and a lot of guilty feelings. Probably not a healthy relationship to have with money, buuut it keeps me in budget. :)
Haircuts and Highlights
In college, I cut my own hair (curly-haired girls can get away with it.) It didn't look bad. But now that I'm all "professional" and stuff, I get it done at a salon near my work. It's a chain salon, but I love my stylist and he does exactly what I want. My usual foil/cut/blowdry/tip/product costs me about two weeks' worth of my "spending money."
Purses
For our first Christmas together, Mr. D bought me the Coach Bleecker Shopper (specifically, the one on the far left.) I love it and I will use it forever. But I can definitely see myself expanding my Coach collection to some classic and versatile bags. I recently bought pink Legacy wallet for myself (off eBay, so still a bargain! Only a small amount of hyperventilation, really...)

I just saw a SATC 2 trailer while watching Gossip Girl (dearchuckbassiloveyou) and I can't wait til it comes out! Only those girls can look fabulous while riding a camel...
So excited!
So excited!
Hope everyone survived Monday, and I can't wait to see what you're splurging on these days!

I am a haircut and highlights girl myself. I just can't go without. At least we will look good when we have no money...
ReplyDeleteI need to start budgeting like you, girl!
ReplyDeleteI think we all did the college-roommate haircut trick. I unfortunately had some pretty bad ones though :-) That's just one thing I have a hard time spending money on - my hair. But I have no problem spending it on my other little (or not so little) splurges!

great splurges!!
ReplyDeleteI'd say hair is definitely my splurge. I've just finally settled in to a new color and cut and I'm 2 months from my last appointment (I'm just realizing this and I'm shocked!). I don't plan to go again for a touchup on highlights until next month. But boy do I love spending time in the salon!
ReplyDeleteGreat splurges and I have to add, I am MORE than excited for that movie to come out. I'm already planning a girls night to go see it. YAY!
ReplyDeleteI just got the SATC seasons 2,3 and 4 (on sale $15 each!) and now I: 1. cant stop watching, and 2. want the movie to come out RIGHT NOW!
ReplyDeleteI splurge on those as well! :-)
ReplyDeleteI splurge on my hair too! LOVE SATC..I'm so excited for it coming out I had a SATC themed birthday back in April! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love Chuck Bass too!! No one can pull off an ascot better than HIM!! <3
