Making Classroom Posters on the Cheap

I have to give some credit to my mom for this brilliant way to create an easy and cheap classroom poster.  It also works great if you're making a poster for your home or office-- it's not exclusive to classrooms.  :)

My mom learned about it from I am Momma Hear Me Roar.

And my mom created a poster with the Mother Teresa quote from I am Momma's tutorial, and also one with this quote:

{from here}

The picture is obviously not the actual poster, but when I saw the posters in real life, I love them.

And I loved that 2'x3' poster was only $2.99.

Granted, the posters can only be black and white, but for $2.99, I am not even concerned.
After following the easy tutorial I linked to above, I created these three posters for my classroom, and I think look pretty awesome:

This wonderfully motivating Thoreau quote.

This quote from Harry Potter, which ties in nicely with our 7 Habits curriculum.

And this little reminder in a very cool font.

I got all three of these big posters for about $9.  I am excited to put them in bold-colored poster frames and hang them up above my side chalkboard.  I am planning on posting some pictures of my room all set up later this week, so check back soon!
