Yesterday, Mr. D and I traveled down to visit my parents in the home they just purchased. Mom (that would be Kathy from Our Creekside Place) was already painting! Because my little Powershot was fresh out of batteries, she let me use her camera to snap some fun details of the CP before she gets her renovating and redecorating hands on it! Here are the highlights, and lowlights!
The previous owners had some dated paint. This mustard and baby blue combo was one the of the worst.
I loved the look of the old, painted-over locks on the windows. Look at all that snow outside!
The old light fixtures made for some lovely photos.
I have a hunch that the end is near for this bathroom mallard.

I'm super excited to see what the CP looks like with new paint and a few cosmetic changes. Mom has great design and decorating taste, so I'm sure it will end up looking great.

Wow, looks like there are some real gems hidden in the rough - but I'd have trouble seeing past that clown. He's genuinely terrifying! And who in their right mind thought that colour combo was a good idea? Looks like it's all worth it for that view though. Beautiful! Thanks for popping by my blog!
