30 Day Blog Challenge!

To ensure that I'll never lose my bloggy motivation during this, my first month of bloggy return, I am joining Katie in her 30 Day Blog Challenge!  It started yesterday so I have a bit of catching up to do...

Day 1: Recent Photo and 15 Facts!

1) I am a fourth-year teacher of 7th grade English.

2) I am the mommy of a 6-month old chocolate lab pup.

3) I am a new homeowner! (And I have the empty rooms to prove it.)

4) I watch Gossip Girl and Grey's Anatomy religiously.

5) I have a dangerously short attention span.

6) I love pizza and ice cream (and loathe exercise... how inconvenient.)

7) I have one older sister and two younger brothers.

8) I love all things pink!

9) I don't really cook, unless I'm feeling extraordinarily motivated (thankfully I've got a husband that loves cooking!)

10) I married my wonderful husband on July 18, 2009!

11) I spend far too much money on my hair.

12) I have to wear makeup.  Even just to Walmart.

13) I listen to worthless pop music... I just can't help but like it!  But I do supplement with many other eclectic selections.

14) Christmas is my favorite holiday!

15) I root for the Redskins and the Red Sox.

Day 2: The Meaning of Your Blog Name

Coming up with a blog name was pretty difficult for me.  I didn't want anything too personal, I wanted something easy to remember, and that said something about me.

I've always been a glass-half-empty kind of person, and the reason I decided to blog was to focus on the good things in my life.  So I pondered over the phrase, "turning lemons into lemonade," and liked that idea.

(Because I love lemonade.

The kind with the pulp in it. 

Ohhhh yeah.)

 I added "pink."

(Because I love pink.)

And there you have it, folks.

Tomorrow: My first love!

I'm off to watch Glee... my new TV obsession.  What is it with me and shows that start with "G?"
