This weekend I decided to start painting the master bedroom, because next weekend is our official move-in weekend. I wanted to do either a very pale blue (MSL Love-In-A-Mist was my front-runner) or a light brown. But, I'm the most indecisive person ever.
I ended up going with MSL Brown Alpaca. It was brown enough, without being too dark. Like cafe au lait! I've never been a huge fan of brown, but I thought it would be a nice warm color for the bedroom.
On the way home, though, I started getting second thoughts. I kept looking at the swatch... and thinking it could possibly be the exact color of DIARRHEA.
We put it on the wall.
I'm still not sold.
Complete until we get furniture in:
Dining room
I will also be replacing that chandelier as soon as I find one I like.
The kitchen is still a work in progress:
Painted the pantry doors today.
As you can see, the beadboard cabinet doors aren't hung yet. It took more coats of paint than I expected, but I think they should be hung by next weekend.
Bayley had fun barking at every single squirrel in a half-mile radius.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
The beadboard doors turned out great. I can't wait to see them hung. I think the color you have up for the bedroom looks nice in the photo. But I guess I can agree, it's similar to what we have in our bedroom right now and I don't really like it on all of the walls.
ReplyDeleteI freakin LOVE the color choices in your house! Especially the dining room. I'm picturing and AMAZING crystal chandelier hanging. SO lovely. xo
ReplyDeleteI like the bedroom color, not poopy at all! And the dining room is going to be GORgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteHaha, when we slapped on the first coat of Valspar's "Rattan" I heard a concerned "Um, Caitlin, you need to come here" and I looked up the stairs to see what appeared to be massive amounts of baby-poop green paint on our walls. I felt sick, lol, and not just because of the idea of baby poo, but because we had 4 or 5 gallons of it and now I wasn't sure if we were going to do it throughout the whole house. Thank God it mellowed as it dried!
ReplyDeleteI like your color choices, give them time!
What a pretty dining room...love the details! xx
