Tomorrow is the last day before Spring Break: six days where...
-I never have to tell anyone to spit out their gum (three times)
-I never have to tell anyone that the bathroom is not a place to go to text
-I never have to give a pencil or paper to someone who is wearing $150 shoes
-I never have to sit in a long, pointless meeting (uuugh, meetings!)
I love my job, but I am totally burnt out on it right now. I will really enjoy the next six days, and I'll definitely be indulging in a few of these:
One project I'll be tackling over break is transforming this end table my mother handed down to me.
From this:
into something more along the lines of this:
(a beautiful creation by Holly of Life in the Fun Lane)
I am really excited about it, and I'm thinking about either white or pale blue for the paint color. I don't think this project will take very long, but my track record for estimating project timelines is... not... a good... track record... (Beadboard cabinets ringing any bells?)
We'll be finishing up the bedroom paint job this weekend and who knows, maybe I'll order some bedding if I'm feeling crazy! I finally decided on this one, Choice #2:
(Pottery Barn)
One more thing! A giveaway I'm truly excited about! Lovely Little Nest is having its first giveaway: beautiful planners and notebooks from Etsy seller Pretty Chic SF.
I couldn't live without my magenta Five Star planner, but it's not what you could call sophisticated! Check out the gorgeous notebooks and planners, then enter the giveaway here!
Enjoy your Fridays, ladies!

What a cute blog you have!!
ReplyDeleteI just re-did a table! It was an ugly desk, but put on a few coats of paint and viola, it's a while new piece!!
And that margarita looks soooo good!! :)
I'm your newest follower!!
I love the table. I can't wait to see how it turns out. Hubby and I are finshing up a bench we built and stained over the weekend. Love projects!
ReplyDeleteYou are very funny! Can't wait to see your table redo. I also estimate times incorrectly. I get a little sidetracked! Enjoy your spring break!
ReplyDeleteThe table is going to look fabulous. And as a mom to those kids who wear down their teachers.. I'm glad you get a break! enjoy darling! xo
ReplyDeleteI want a spring break!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy spring break! I can't wait to see how the table transformation turns out. I have a similar table and you've inspired me to paint it. Take care!
ReplyDeleteI think I just drooled looking at that cocktail!
ReplyDeleteI love the duvet from PB. I bought ours from PB on sale, and I love it! I am so happy with it.
I think your end table will come out just like you hope! Anthropologie has some really pretty handles/knobs, maybe check it out - I think the whole vibe would match the look you are going for.
