I've decided to join the fun of Top 2 Tuesday, hosted by The Undomestic Momma!
This week's topic: 2 random things about you...
1) I have color-graphemic/ordinal linguistic personification synesthesia. In human terms, I see numbers as colors and each number has a personality in my mind. I know this sounds crazy. But basically, when numbers are in dark print on a light background, I see this:
and when I look at numbers together, I associate numbers with a lower value as more "meek" than numbers with a higher value. Weird, huh?
I didn't even know that not everyone saw colors with numbers until I was in college, when I told someone their phone number was "really brown." Weird looks ensued.
2) I was born without wisdom teeth. I think it was God's way of taking pity on me, after I was forced to have braces my first years of high school.
Easter is coming! I am so excited for my Mom to host Easter in her brand new house. I am going to help her set up on Friday.
And then I saw this. And I was all like,

I will just die if I don't make these. I love them too much.
I'm finally getting a haircut tonight! I shamefully admit I haven't had a trim or color since November, and right now, my roots looks trashtastic. I will be sure to post a few before and after pictures!
I don't ever associate a number with a color but I do think they have feelings. Like 9 is a bully and 5 & 6 are friends and they don't like 7. 3 is a baby weakling to me.......

ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that you have that! I'm a psych major so I read about synesthesia at some point. Everyone in class thought it was the coolest thing. :)

You are so lucky about the wisdom teeth! Is Bayley a rottweiler? I have a rottweiler, Dooney, and Bayley kinda looks like her a little.

That's funny. I don't see numbers as colors, but I guess I do see them as good and bad. I really like 0, 3, 5 & 7. So a number that contains a lot of those I feel are good numbers. I don't like 2 & 8. Why? I don't know. So imagine I've had the same pin number for YEARS because when it came in the mail it was a combination of the first four I listed.
