An Inspiring Design Story

I stumbled upon this inspiring renovation and decorating story today on Yahoo.

Sandra Foster turned this 9x10 hunting cabin:

into this beautiful Victorian getaway (for about $3,000.)
The full story from NYTimes.com explains that Sandra Foster was homeless for much of her young life, and that she and her husband struggled with debt, failed business ventures, and combining their two lifestyles.

This Victorian "refuge" lacks a kitchen and bathroom, but I personally wouldn't mind running home every couple hours to tinkle just so I could hang out in this beautiful cottage all afternoon.

  2. Beautiful and restful. They sure have a lot of dishes stored there for a place without a kitchen! :)
