Beth McC. at Just Me and My Life hosts a great little link-up called Friday Five, and this is my first time playing along!
Today's topic: Top 5 Favorite Movies!
My list is in no particular order, because my favorite fluctuates with my mood.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
"If they were Sean John sweatpants, that would've been fine, but no! They were CostCo brand, so that's terrible!"
Ohmygaaawsh, funniest movie everrrrrr. A bit crude, but so funny. One of the most underrated comedies from the past few years. You might actually like Russell Brand when it's over.
Donnie Darko
"And how did you feel, being denied these hungry, hungry hippoes?"
This movie is weird, but I love that there are no answers. The Director's Cut answers more, but as a nerdy literature major I love trying to interpret the symbolism. A good movie when you're ready to commit to watching every.little.move.
Up
"I was hiding under your porch because I loooove yoooou."
Cutest movie ever, no contest, end of story. I'm a sucker for animated movies, but this one definitely stands out as being the most uplifting.
Sex and the City
"Ever mine, ever thine, ever ours."
My go-to girl movie! I love the clothes, and watching all the girls finally get everything they wanted, especially Carrie marrying Big! I love love love it.
Iron Man
"Like, at least three olives."
Okay, let's be real. I looove RDJ. Love love love. And, having a husband who loves comics, I see a lot of the super hero movies. This one is by far the best.
Wow, is it sad that 4/5 of my favorite movies came out in the last three years? Maybe I need to brush up on the classics!

I love Up! And I quote that line all the time! Isn't that movie just the sweetest?! I think I cried like 80-bajillion times!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I loved Up! I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I went with two of my friends and we all cried! Such a sweet movie!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVE "Up!" Such a cute movie. And I'm dying to see "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" -- love Kristen Bell. My favorite movies include "13 Going on 30," "Sleepless in Seattle," "Rear Window," and "National Treasure" -- I could watch these over and over!
