1. Who's your style icon?

  Kate Winslet.  She always goes simple but sophisticated.  And she wears a lot of black.  My kind of lady.

2. What is your favorite socialite book?

 I wouldn't necessarily call them "socialite books," but Jen Lancaster writes some hilarious stuff about being fabulous AND a normal person.  

3.  What is your favorite party theme?

I was fortunate in college to be friends with some of the most creative people on the planet, who also had a love of throwing theme parties.  My favorite themes?

4.  Go to Halloween costume?

 The last Halloween costume I got was a pirate one, and I felt ridiculous in it.  I think I've officially outgrown Halloween.  

5.  Extravagance you can't live without?

 My fancy phone!  HTC Droid Eris.  I by no means need a smartphone, but I love having one anyway.  It makes those boring faculty meetings go by so much faster.  :)

6.  Living person you most admire?

7.  Greatest fear?

  I am the biggest chicken in the world.  Spiders, axe murderers, ghosts, snakes, deadly plagues.  I am scared of everything irrational, but strangely, I don't have a fear of death really.

8.  Trait you dislike about yourself?

I'm selfish, impatient, and a bad listener.

9.  Talent you'd most like to have?

I'm always so inspired by the people on Project Runway, I really wish I could sew.

10.  Greatest achievement?

Hmm, I'm not sure.  I think getting my master's was a big deal for me!
