Shopping Success

I feel so out of the loop!  I haven't been able to really sit down and enjoy reading the blogs I love since Thursday night!  Mr. D's parents stayed with us this weekend and we were SUPER BUSY whipping the lawn and backyard into shape!  (More on that later!)

I really wanted to show my bargain shopping success this weekend.  The first purchase I have to attribute to Mr. D, who spotted this find at a yard sale in our neighborhood while on an early morning walk.

2 of these chairs= $30.

I'm not super crazy about the fabric, but I can picture myself transforming them into something more along the lines of this:
(This gorgeous chair makeover by Micah at The Yellow Front Door can be found here.)

I'd love to choose a bright yellow and white fabric to complement the (soon to be) navy library.

Then, while Mr. D handled the Bayley business, I distracted myself by heading to downtown Fredericksburg for a little antiquing with my mom and mother-in-law.  We oohed, we ahhed, we scratched our heads at some of the weirder stuff.  And then I saw a deal I couldn't pass up!
Two end tables AND
 a coffee table for $125.

I'm sure they're not antiques (someone even told me they saw them at Pier 1 once!) but seriously, three tables for $125?
And they each open for extra storage!

Here they are in our den:
Love love lovvvvvve!

Now if you'll excuse me, ladies, I need to get cozy and read up on all your weekend adventures.  Can't wait to see what you've been up to!  Anyone else get some spankin' good deals?
